2 years old!

Two layouts to show today - kits courtesy of Artgal Style...

The first is a new release called Chocolate Nut

The next is a re-release called Provincial Penguins, handily we took Connor to Chester Zoo last week!

Both kits are available now over at Plain Digital Wrapper.

I also managed to make a card this week - my brother-in-law proposed to his girlfriend on holiday so here's their engagement card

I love this heart from Tiddly Inks and have used it a few times now! I'm quite into using bookprint at the moment, thanks to Kirsty Wisemans "Me in my MoleskinE" class. After all, now that I've ripped into a book I might as well finish it!

And finally, my baby was two this weekend - scary how fast those two years have gone! His present from us was a playhouse for the garden - my parents kindly put it together while we went out (!), unfortunately they were still putting it together when we got home! It seems it wasn't the snap together house I thought it would be - power tools were required - oops!

Anyway, he seemed to have a good day...

And yes, I made the Thomas the Tank Engine birthday cake - that was definitely a labour of love!

Old Glory Artgal kit

Artgal's recent release at Plain Digital Wrapper is "Old Glory". Not being American I obviously couldn't really do a 4th July themed layout but felt that the colours matched some photos taken recently at a cupcake decorating class that me and a friend attended.

So here it is...

Artgal's previous kits are gradually being added to the new store so go over and take a look!

The layout is based on a sketch by Kirsty Wiseman on her Wednesday Cyber crop which runs every two weeks, even if you don't feel like scrapping, you can watch Kirsty doing her layout on UStream and chat to other crafters which you watch - always very entertaining!

Artgal has a new home

Scrap That Idea closed down at the end of June. One of the designers - Artgal - has been looking for a new home and is now settled at Plain Digital Wrapper.

She has a few kits out this week - one of which is The Eyes Have It. It's an optometry based kit, but as I don't wear glasses very much, I chose to show how the kit could be used for other topics...

There's a great 4th July themed kit coming out soon - again I've put it to a different use, I'll show the layout when the kit is released.
