Lili of the Valley

I have a couple of cards to show today using some Lili of the Valley stamps.
I'm entering this first card into the Passion for ProMarkers challenge which, this week, is to follow a sketch and make your own flowers.

The stamp is Balloon Bunny, coloured with ProMarkers and a bit of Stickles as usual. I've Glossy Accented the balloon for a bit of dimension. The flowers are punched from some card which was generously Cosmic Shimmer Misted to within an inch of it's life! Unfortunately it's so dark you can't really see the glimmeryness in the photos...

This second card is for the Lili of the Valley challenge - the theme this week is "Here Comes Summer".

This image is Deckchair Dreaming, coloured with ProMarkers. No Stickles as it's for a bloke! The papers are Pink Petticoat.

I have plenty more time to craft over the weekend as Tim is away on a stag do (they're going to drive tanks!) - I'm really on a roll at the minute so hope to get loads done! I'll be back on Saturday to show my cards for the new Kirsty Wiseman CD Colour Me Crazy - I'm very excited about seeing my cards on television!

Krispy Kremes

Last Sunday I spent the afternoon at Krispy Kremes and mooching round the Trafford Centre with the truely lovely Kirsty Wiseman and her daughter Ellie. I was honoured when she asked me to make some cards for her new CD and happily obliged! The CD launches on Saturday on Create & Craft (10am) so I'll show my cards after that. While in Krispy Kremes Kirsty took some photos of Connor...

I know I'm biased, but that boy's going to break some hearts when he's older!

I have a couple of cards on the go using some of the new Lili of the Valley stamps - I'm waiting for some Cosmic Shimmer Mist to dry before they can be assembled so will post those once they're done.

I hope you're all having a lovely week and enjoying this unseasonal weather before it disappears!

First wedding of the year...

This card was for a wedding I went to on Saturday in Wetherby - it was a beautiful day all round and they make a gorgeous couple. Unfortunately I was ill all day Sunday and am still being sick on and off now- possible started by the amount of alcohol imbibed(!) but it seems to have kick started my hormonal sickness which has been an ongoing problem for me since I was about 15. Fingers crossed it's a one-off!
Anyway, I'm entering this card into this weeks Passion for ProMarkers challenge which is to make your own backing paper using ProMarkers. I was a bit stuck on this until I saw Maria's great tutorial on the Weekend Workshop. She used the blender pen to lift colour to make a spotty dress. So, my backing paper was coloured with Aubergine, then I used the Blender pen to draw swirls over the Aubergine. I then accented this with the Silver metallic pen and then spritzed the whole thing with Cosmic Shimmer mist. The image is from DigiStamp Boutique.

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend in the sun! x

Bronte and Louis aka Amy and Connor

The following card is for three, yes three, challenges: Passion for ProMarkers (The Young Ones), I ♥ ProMarkers (Animals) and Sketch Saturday. The image is from Mo Manning - I absolutely love it as it completely epitomises Connor and Amy's relationship - Amy is our dog, we weren't sure how she would react to Connor when he was born as we'd got her from the dogs home and were told she didn't like children. We coulnd't have asked for a better reaction from her, she lets him pull her tail and ears and when she's had enough she just gets up and walks away. But I have to say, I think part of her acceptance of him comes from the fact that she gets to eat all his leftovers!
Anyway, the image is coloured with ProMarkers, with a touch of Glossy Accents here and there - no Stickles in sight! The papers are Pink Petticoat and everything else is from my stash.

No cards from me for a couple of days as I'm at my folks up North. Connor has been very good so far and is currently being entertained by his Grandma. I'm up here as me and my mam are off to see the Dancing on Ice tour on Tuesday while Grandad babysits - wish him luck!

Simples

I made the following card for my in-laws for their Wedding Anniversary. It's nice and simple with quite basic colouring as I felt the image needed to be kept simple to match the card. Some Stickles found their way on there too of course! The image is from DigiStamp Boutique and the papers are Pink Petticoat.

I'm sat watching the final of Masterchef while I type, the food looks so gorgeous - watching it always makes me want to eat!
