CHA Relay Day 3

I amaze myself sometimes at my ability to be organised - I amaze myself because most of the time I am not. Here is my CHA Relay Day 3 card, which doesn't have to be done til midnight tomorrow.

This gorgeous little bear came in handy as we have another set of friends who have recently had a baby boy - babies everywhere!

CHA Relay Day 2

Here is my card for The Greeting Farm CHA Relay Day 2 using the lovely Charlotte stamp. She made me think of Sandy in Grease so not sure why I then gave her brown hair...

Our friends had a baby boy last week, we went to visit them today and I got a nice, long cuddle! He was awake for most of our visit so I got to see his gorgeous blue eyes - so rare with newborns to be awake (and quiet) for so long! Here is the card we took round, the image is by the talented Mo Manning.

The Greeting Farm CHA Relay Day 1

I am attempting to take part in the Greeting Farm CHA Relay this week, the aim of which is to make a card every day with a digi image which is released the day before. Hopefully I'll last the full week, I've already warned Tim that I'll be disappearing upstairs to make cards every day!
This is my card for day 1 using Mer Ian...

I'll be back tomorrow with a card using the next image which is Charlotte.

Some jewellery and the card from hell...

I had one of "those" days yesterday while trying to make a card - I had an image in my head of how it was going to look, unfortunately that all went wrong when I tried to stamp a flourish on the background of my card. It was also meant to stamp onto some of the image, of course, it didn't work and I was left trying to cover up my botched attempt. I spent so long trying to cover up the botch that it would have been easier just to re-stamp and colour the image again! I ended up going to bed in a huff and going back to it again this morning - thankfully it looks ok and no sign of my rubbish stamping!
I am entering this card into the Passion for ProMarkers and Cupcake Crafts challenges. Passion for ProMarkers this week is "Girls, Girls, Girls" which immediately makes me think of Motley Crue - not sure that's what they were going for! The challenge at Cupcake Crafts this week is a sketch:

So here is the card...

I have recently got back into jewellery making - something I used to do years ago but fell out of love with. There are so many beautiful beads and bits around now though that I thought I'd dip my toe in the water once more. Below are some makes - none original I must add, but they've got me back into it nicely!

A charm pendant - it hangs quite low - kind of cleavage length!

This bracelet has wrapped loops on - my first attempt...

My first bracelet - a nice easy one to get started!

This one turned out to be not quite as easy as it looked as I had to twist the cord a bit to stop all of the charms from sliding together...

That's it for tonight - I'm going to attempt to take part in the Greeting Farm CHA Relay contest so hopefully I will be back with another card tomorrow.

Drool

Flippin 'eck, it's been a while since my last post! I blame Christmas and my post-Christmas lack of mojo which always comes from leaving all my Christmas cards til the last minute and then spending every waking moment making cards - whether I feel like it or not!
So, I'm back and raring to go after spending a bit of time blog hopping for inspiration.

The following card is an entry to the Sketch Saturday and Totally Gorjuss challenges...

Supplies Used: Image - Sugar Nellie Manga Girl #2, coloured with ProMarkers (Plum, Amethyst, Henna, Cocoa, Cinnamon, Burnt Umber, Satin, Blush, Cool Grey 2 & 4, Black, Warm Grey 5, Lilac & Lavender), Chipboard Flowers - Crafty Bitz Die-cuts, coloured with ProMarker Plum and stamped with Autumn Leaves Flourish stamp in silver, Sentiment - Craftwork Cards, Dew Drops, Papers - Craftwork Cards Blox & Pink Petticoat.

Here is another card I managed to make just after Christmas for my Father-in-Law. This is my first Mo Manning image but I think I may end up getting more!

Supplies Used: Image - Mo Manning "The Engineer", Glossy Accented and coloured with ProMarkers (Holly, Pine, Cool Grey 2 & 4, Sandstone, Caramel, Powder Blue, Cocoa, Ruby, Cardinal Red, Satin, Blush, Cinnamon, Cornflower, Denim Blue, Pastel Beige), Paper - Pink Petticoat, Sentiment - Craftwork Cards, Dew Drops.

Just before Christmas I arranged a photo session with the lovely
Kirsty Wiseman so we could give our family some pictures of Connor for Christmas. Here are some of the pictures we chose - we think he looks absolutely adorable in them! We had a great time taking these pictures and it was nice to finally meet Kirsty after lurking on her blog for ages!
Cute and he knows it...

So much drool at the moment!

Will be back over the weekend with more cards and some jewellery...
