A Lazy Day...

Having a lovely lazy day today, have watched Cape Fear and now sat watching 30 Days of Night with yummy Josh Hartnett! I've managed to do a dishwasher run (doesn't take much energy!) and some tidying up though so at least I've accomplished something!

Anyways, here are some cards I made last week:

The chicks are a Penny Black stamp "Spring Chicks" coloured in with twinkling H2Os and the papers are Pink Petticoat's Pretty Doodles. I spritzed the number 1 with some mica powder spray - I also spritzed the pink borders but didn't really leave enough to show it - lesson learnt for next time! Here's another view where you can see the shimmeryness (a real word?!) of the chicks a bit better.

This was a quick card I made for my mam with some Sugar Nellie stamped images inside. The stamp is Sugar Nellie "Choose" from here, again painted with twinkling H2Os - I have soooo many of these that I feel I need to get my money's worth! I love that you can make the colours as gentle or intense as you like. The patterned paper is from a download from a while ago called "Sweet Belle".

My dad's birthday card - he's a fisherman so most cards he receives tend to be fishing related! This is Fisherman Luca from the same place as the Sugar Nellie stamp above. He's coloured with twinkling H2Os (told you I'm getting my moneys worth!) and there's some Stickles on there too for some extra twinkle, without being too girly of course. The papers are another download, this time from Nana's Attic - Cool Dude and Cherry Lime Parfait.

That's it for now - will post some more tomorrow as I've been having a play with the Geisha Anya digistamp from here. I've also started a pregnancy diary scrapbook so I may show some pages from that too!

My First Post!

So... I've finally got round (and gathered the courage!) to do my first post!
These are some pages from a scrapbook I did for a friends little girl's 1st birthday last summer. I was happier with some of the pages than others, and looking back, some of them are quite simple, but being time pressured (as I left most of it til far too late!) and seeing as it was my first attempt at scrapbooking, I think it's not a bad job! And it was gratefully received, which is the main thing!

These are only scans as I didn't give myself enough time to take pictures, and some of them are a bit fuzzy. I must try harder next time to take some decent pictures!
