1 week to go...!

So, not much happening on the craft front here lately. Although I can manage with my cast, it's quite annoying so I've kind of given up until it comes off, which hopefully is next Tuesday. If they don't take it off then I'm cutting it off myself! The last couple of days with the warm weather haven't helped as I'm aware of how incredibly gross it's becoming!

So, we went to a wedding in Wales a couple of weeks ago. Seeing as I had my cast on I decided to bling it up a little...

The transport - fab!

We've also been busy doing some work for Shugar. Here's a 40th birthday cake we made last week for a very glamorous girly girl...

And finally, I've signed up for Kirsty Wiseman's "ME in my MoleskinE" class which starts this Wednesday. I'm eagerly awaiting my kit and I must say the class forum has been buzzing with excitement!

Success!

So, the cakes were a success!

The cake (mocked up with some roses, they were putting fresh flowers on on the day to match the bouquets etc)...

Not bad for our first attempt at icing a three tier fruit cake! The 12" layer was a pain in the bum mind you... Special thanks to my mam for helping me to marzipan them all!

Lemon cupcakes with lemon buttercream and fondant...

Chocolate cupcakes with raspberry buttercream and a sugar rose...

We've set up a facebook page and a blog/website so please take a look, bearing in mind they are still in their infancies!

And here was a card for the happy couple using my current favourite Tiddly Inks image and Basic Grey papers...

I'm amazed at myself for managing it with my arm still in plaster, half of it was already done though...

My wrist is starting to feel better though I can tell when I've tried to do too much with it! I'm at a fascinator class on Tuesday, not sure how that'll go but I'll give it my best shot. I'm itching to do some jewelley making at the minute but I really don't think I could manage it, the desire will probably be gone by the time I get my cast off!
