What's going on with this weather?

Not that I'm complaining mind you! We've had a nice chilled out Easter weekend here - I say we, I mean me and Connor, poor Tim has had to work ALL weekend which has put a little bit of a dampener on things! Never mind, the weather has made up for it...

So here is my latest layout for Sweet Blossom Designs using the newest release "Happy-ness" which you can get here...

And no post is complete without a picture of some cakes so here are some mini victoria sponges I made the other day for work - they lasted no time at all!

Template virgin

This weeks release from Sara at Sweet Blossom Designs is a set of templates. I'm a sketch girl rather than a template user, but it was nice to try something different! My digi-scrapping program of choice (Digital Scrapbook Artist 2) doesn't really lend itself to using templates so this is also my first layout in Photoshop - don't think I've really been converted to Photoshop but using a template is definitely good if you want to produce a quick page - with enough scope to put your own stamp on it. Here's mine...

The photos are from a girlie weekend in Blackpool last July - as you can see we were very classy and sat drinking blue WKD on the pier! The kit is the mini kit "Lovely" by Sweet Blossom Designs. You can see the other layouts from the Design Team here

Mini Guinness cupcakes

I made these a couple of weekends ago but forgot to show them...

Cupcakes based on the shot cocktail "Mini Guinness" which is Tia Maria/Kahlua with a Baileys float. The cupcake itself is chocolate coffee and the frosting is Baileys buttercream. They were delicious, if I do say so myself and they will definitely be getting made again!

Smile for the camera - please?

Here is my Creative Team layout for Sweet Blossom Designs latest release "PhotoShoot". The photos were taken by Kirsty Wiseman on New Brighton beach - it was quite a windy (ok, very windy) day and Connor was not particularly happy. We did get some nice photos but we also got these...!

You can buy the kit here. The sketch is from Kirsty's Wednesday night cyber crop which is back in action!

Little Musings

Have you seen the gorgeous new Little Musings rubber stamps by SJ? I couldn't resist buying some when I saw them and now Mother's Day has passed I can show my first couple of cards using them...

The papers are all Basic Grey and the stamps have been coloured with ProMarkers as usual. The satin ribbon on the second card started off white but I coloured it with ProMarkers to match and using Alcohol Blending Solution to blend the colours together (thank you to the man at Hobbycraft who asked what would happen if I tried it!).

Sweet Blossom Designs and Scrap That Idea

I can finally show my first layout for Sweet Blossom Designs! The kit is called "I Love My Dog" which was perfect for my first layout as I've never scrapped any photos of our dog. The poor thing has been kicked off centre stage by the arrival of Connor so we don't take many photos of her anymore!

As a member of the Creative Team we are also asked to do layouts using the monthly Scrap That Idea collaboration kits. This months kit is "Garden Friends" and below is my layout using photos of Connor investigating worms in the garden with Daddy...

Go and get your kit now!
